Our Program
Guided Classes
Classes at Learning Space are always active: group discussions, debates, show and tell, presentations. Teachers facilitate and give feedback.
Personal Exercises
Each module offers an opportunity to reflect: write an essay, explore your life goals, or create a presentation about your hometown.
Group Projects
Work with your classmates on interesting projects: research a social issue, roleplay communication scenarios, launch a marketing campaign.
Our Curriculum
The first Learning Space students take part in a 3-month pilot program from May 2020 to August 2020.
Getting to know each other
Building a shared community
Week 1: Orientation
Learn about the logistics of the class. Play an active role in creating your group’s rules and expectations.
Week 2: Cultural Sharing
Tell friends around the world about your culture, and learn from theirs.
Week 3: Personal Sharing
Learn to share your story and express what’s important to you.
Working with Each Other
Week 4: Interpersonal Skills
Explore your communicate style. Understand your strength and weakness. Learn to handle conflicts.
Week 5: Teamwork Skills
Learn to communicate professionally. Understand your and your teammates’ strengths. Start a group project with your group.
Week 6: Group Project
Work on a global group project. Learn to conduct interviews and ethnographic research.
Planning & Research
Week 7: Personal Research Project
Conduct a personal project while learning about academic research, fact checking and the scientific method.
Week 8: Planning
Get your hands dirty planning a restaurant in your hometown.
Week 9: Planning (cont.)
Plan a vacation together with your teammates.
Authentic Expression
Week 10: Promoting Ideas
Learn to toolset to promote your ideas and persuade others.
Week 11: Self Expression
Get over your fear of public speaking and personal sharing. Learn to speak vulnerably.
Week 12: Learning from Each Other
Teach your classmates something. Learn from lessons prepared by your classmates.
